Pete really deserves to be mentioned.
The 1st Session, he found the studios. found a base player, "H"(Harry), and made all the arrangements so when I went on leave from Nigeria in April of 1982, everything & everybody was ready to go. I only had 2 weeks for my leave, and 2 of the 14 days I was traveling to get to England and then back to Nigeria. We practiced at Space Studios for a few days, Just long enough to get through the 8 of my songs we had decided on, then went into Woodcray Studios, in the days that were left we recorded and mixed the songs. Wish we had more time to work the music, probably should have done fewer songs.
Anyway...........
The 2nd Session was much easier. Again Pete kept in touch with the studio and made arrangements so everything was ready. After I started leave in August of 1982, we went straight into Woodcray Studios and met with Nick the Woodcray engineer who had worked with us on Session 1, and who happened to play bass. I had decided that I wanted to redo some of the bass lines, and Nick had liked the music so much He volunteered to help me with it. The 2nd Session was spent with Pete, Nick, and I reworking drums, guitar, bass, and vocals on many of the songs and trying to spend more time on the final mix.
Pete was there the whole way, I couldn't have done it without his help. Another great friend who's a drummer.
